Reading Log 2

To start off this Sunday I started reading my bridal magazine "REAL SIMPLE weddings." In the magazine it talked about the timeline, the budget, location, guests, attendants, invitations, attire, flowers, vows, photos and video and food. The one thing that stood out to me was the timeline. There was a planning calendar that could be used up to fifteen months before your wedding. There was a box so you can check off when you have that part done. I really liked that. I purchased a bridal notebook to do at barnes and noble a few months ago, and as I am planning my wedding I just add things in there. It has everything from the proposal, to where proposed at, location of wedding, flowers, etc. There was also alot of real weddings in this magazines. For example they have many pictures of people having real weddings everything from their ceremony, flowers, decorations. I pretty much read the whole magazine.

Today I started reading more on my book "The Rescue" by Nicholas Sparks. For starters I didnt give a description of the characters last week.

Denise Holton: Mother who cares for her son Kyle. Once a teacher, now a full time mom trying to teach her son how to talk.

Kyle: Son who is not able to speak well.

Taylor McAden: Volunteer fireman who finds Denise Holton and her son Kyle in a car crase.

Judy McAden: Taylors mom who becomes close friends with Denise.

Mitch: Taylor's friend.

Whats happened so far since the last time I read: Judy came over to visit with Denise. Judy starts to tell her stories of when her mother and her were younger. (Judy and Denise's mom were friends when they were young, it never mentions her mothers name) her mother and father are dead. Then Judy mentions to her that there is a fair this weekend and they should come. Denise decides to go to the fair. She doesn't really go to meet new people, or for Judy. So goes to see Taylor. She is starting to like Taylor. Taylor is the only one who seems to want to be with Kyle. While at the fair Taylor takes the time to throw a baseball, and lets him steer his truck. This is a main point in the text where she realizes that how much what he has done for Kyle has touched her in her heart. She is starting to fall for Taylor. Kyle her son suffers a disease. He has CAPD which is a Auditory Processing Disorder. He cant process the things her hears because his ears and brain doesnt work together. More for the story after he takes them home from the fair he stays for tea, and asks if her and Kyle would like to go again on a date tomorrow to the fair to ride rides. And they do.

Heres some info that I got off the Nicholas Sparks website nicholassparks.com that I thought was interesting to share. This book was his first book to be #1 on the New York Times Best Seller. When he wrote this book he suffered writers block, and the main character was named the producer in the movies Message in a bottle, and a walk to remember.
